After a few long days of development sprint over the weekend, we are please to announced our first free theme to compliment our RapidGallery extension. This theme is called RGTheme (version beta1) and is available to everyone who wishes to use it. Even though it's meant to compliment RapidGallery, it does not mean you cannot used it for any other websites you have in mind.

In this new release of RapidGallery 1.1.3, we have built into the module and plugin page a requirements checklist to help make it easier for you to diagnose any common issues that is needed to run RapidGallery at its recommended settings.

Using other 3rd party gallery extension stored images in RapidGallery

This is a blog post to show you how easy it is to reuse an existing 3rd party gallery extension directory to show your images in RapidGallery. The way RapidGallery works by showing your images on the frontend is simply but searching and indexing thru a directory of your choice that you have specified. It will then do all the hard work of creating thumbnail images for you and any further customization can be applied such as size, dimensions, effects and etc. It's really that simply. Most or probably all 3rd party gallery extensions will create their own directory to store your image files in to be used.

Why RapidGallery? Why yet another photo gallery extension?

We have been using several photo gallery extensions for various situations (on Joomla! and WordPress) however we never found the solution with all the features in mind that we needed. After several experiences, we started to realise that all of them had good features and at the same time each of them was always lacking something else.This lead us to to start development on a gallery extension from ground up.
